Video continues to be on the rise and taking over in social media platforms. Clients are asking for it consistently. Ready to get started in video and incorporate it into your client offerings but not sure where to start? Have you tried video, but it didn’t quite look right? Not sure of the right settings to use? Want to be able to switch between photo and video quickly? This session is for you!

In this session, I will answer all these questions and more. We will talk about cameras, sensors, and lens choices as it pertains to video. We’ll even step into the question…auto-focus vs. manual focus, does it really matter?

We’ll talk about the ideal camera settings for what you are filming. Resolution, frame rates and the exposure triangle as it relates to video.

How to get stable footage? We’ll talk about stabilization, settings and some techniques to help you get smooth footage without a gimble.

Lastly, we’ll talk about audio and lighting basics and get you started with optimizing these for video.

When we are done, you will feel more comfortable with turning your camera to the video mode, choosing the right settings, hitting record and offering a new service to your clients!

Todd is a native Texan and spent 26 years in the corporate world before making the switch to a full-time videographer and photographer.  He is a 3x Emmy Awarded Producer and Videographer with The Daytripper TV show on PBS.

Todd grew up shooting on film and is self-taught. His passion for photography grew during a month-long trip to India and has not stopped since.

Fashion and lifestyle content is what he focuses on and a blend of photos and video is the primary type of content he creates for his clients.

Todd is a husband and a father. He has found that blend of hobby and career in photography and videography. He is a foodie and a craft beer lover as well.
