Presented by Richard Sturdevant

Saturday, October 16, 2021
8:30AM – Noon

Join Richard Sturdevant in a program that will inspire you to create what you love and make a living at it.

Creating an exceptional fine art composite consists of many things, but the two that separate good from great are conception and finish. Conception and the ability to dream up a visual idea or to tell visual story that is original and unique to your vision is priceless. Equally important is the ability to bring it all together is such away that it is beautiful and meaningful to the viewer. In this program I will share like never before on this process, known for my style, concepts and the way I finish up an image. I will share how to create concepts that reflect who you are and how to execute them and most of all finish them in such a beautiful way. I’m good at what I do and you will leave this program better for it.

Content will cover:

Come behind the scenes with two Master Photographers as they share their unique approaches that both lead to six figure annual revenues. From the client experience with a focus on creating solutions instead of selling to creating repeat customers to sustain your business, we share two points of view that both create profit. Full-time or part-time, digital sales or only physical prints, niche market or general photographer, lighting and posing techniques: we handle so much differently! But systems, plans, community involvement, and goal making we approach in similar ways. At the end of the day, you will be equipped to create your own unique plan for a profitable business.
This program will cover:

  • Watch your sales averages soar by adding 15 minutes to your senior sessions

“Allison Russell grew up in Sonoma County, California and now lives in Mitchell, South Dakota. Every day, she gets to meet amazing families and create gorgeous fine art portraits of their loved ones for them to hang in their homes. She has three kids (joyful chaos!) and loves to be outdoors with her family, traveling, a good book and glass of wine.

Navigating the Print-On-Demand Marketplace
Presented by Stephen Stookey

Sunday, October 17, 2021
1:30 PM – 4:00PM

“Print-on-Demand (POD) companies offer artists the possibility of online revenue streams with the ease of outsourced production, distribution, and customer service. Artists face a plethora of POD provider and product choices. Finding the right fit for one’s studio is essential to a positive online POD experience. This seminar offers a primer on entering the POD marketplace and charting a path toward online sales success.

Stephen Stookey wandered into the POD marketplace in June 2013 with a handful of images to list and plenty of curiosity. It took a bit of exploration to discover the right mix of product, pricing, and promotion for POD success. Working with POD sites like Fine Art America, Stephen discovered a pathway to a profitable POD presence. Additionally, his POD presence opened the door to image use in Hollywood productions, hotel and business installations, and private commissions. Stephen’s POD annual income supports his work & travel with global ministry organizations, funds family activities, and pays for equipment upgrades–all of which make his CPA (wife Beverly) very happy.”

This program will cover:

  • Understanding the POD marketplace: vendors & products; pros & cons
  • Strategies for starting a POD business
  • Understanding what sells in the POD marketplace
  • Strategies to help buyer’s find you: pricing & promotion
  • Sales opportunities generated by POD presence”
